BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. (AP) — A car crash on the Taconic State Parkway in Briarcliff Manor yesterday afternoon killed eight people, including four young cousins and a woman of the same family. State police say a minivan was heading the wrong way in the northbound lanes of the Taconic when it crashed head-on into an SUV. The family in the mini-van was returning to Long Island after spending the weekend on a camping trip in Sullivan County. All three people in the S.U.V were killed...It was the second wrong-way crash on the Taconic yesterday. Earlier in the day five people were injured in a wrong-way crash on the Taconic at the Dutchess-Putnam border.
